brigette teo

Brigette Teo (b. 2002) is a Singaporean visual artist working with fibre, text, creative technology to create bodies of tactile and experiential installations. Her practice explores themes of labour and the value of craft in response to contemporary technological and political landscapes, often employing slow art techniques and unconventional upcycled materials for her work as an act of resistance.

She holds a degree in Design Art with a specialisation in Interaction Design from Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media (2025) and has presented works in i Light Singapore: A New Wave (2023), Thinteractions at Visual Arts Centre (2024), BYOA: Bring Your Own Arduino (); for Singapore Art Week 2024 and THIS IS NOT A BOOK for Singapore Art Week 2026.

Her graduating project Lament for the Anthropocene is a Global Winner for the Global Undergraduate Award’s Visual Art category and has been shortlisted for the J+ Art Award and Art Thread’s Global Creative Graduate Show 2025.

Brigette also enjoys working on illustration commissions and conducting workshops. If her hands are not busy, you can find her reading and going down Wikipedia rabbit holes.
